Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI), a leading global insurance provider, has announced its expansion into the Nordic nations with the opening of a new office in Stockholm. The company has appointed Anna Green as Head of Nordics, Karin Bryner as Head of Executive & Professional Lines, and Anton Holmgren as Head of General Property for the region. BHSI, known for its financial strength and expertise in underwriting, aims to bring its strong reputation for reliable service and comprehensive insurance solutions to Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and Finland. The new Nordic office will start underwriting in areas including Executive & Professional Lines, General Property, Energy, and Construction. Green takes on the role of Head of Nordics, bringing with her over 20 years of industry experience across the Nordics, Europe, the UK, and the Asia Pacific region. Before joining BHSI, Anna was the CEO of the Sweden Branch for another global insurer and has a deep background in Specialty and Environmental underwriting. Bryner steps into the position of Head of Executive & Professional Lines, leveraging more than 20 years of experience in financial lines underwriting. Her focus on Nordic risks over the past decade and her recent role as Underwriting Manager, Financial Lines in Sweden, at a global insurer, position her well for this new challenge. Holmgren, the new Head of General Property, brings over a decade of property underwriting experience. His career includes senior roles such as Nordic Head of Underwriting, Property, Engineering Lines & Marine at another global insurer. Anton’s extensive background will be instrumental in driving BHSI’s property insurance strategy in the Nordics. “Launching BHSI in the Nordics is an exciting continuation of BHSI’s steady global expansion.
