The Government of Gibraltar and Insurtech UK have renewed their Statement of Intent deal to support the growth of the insurtech sector. The deal, which was first signed in 2021, aims to raise awareness, provide access to relevant officials, and facilitate market research and authorisation plans. The collaboration will provide UK-based insurtech companies with support and help them seek authorisation in Gibraltar. It will also expose opportunities for Gibraltar licensed firms in the UK. The Gibraltar government wants the insurtech sector to become niche, experienced, and tech-savvy, and it believes the collaboration is testament to its commitment to fostering the insurtech sector.
