Insurance industry leaders are set to gather at the BusinessToday Annual Conference to discuss how technology can be used to enhance market penetration in the sector. The conference, themed ‘The world of AI: How insurance and pension sectors can explore opportunities for market penetration,’ will feature the Commissioner for Insurance, National Insurance Commission, Mr. Sunday Thomas as the special guest of honour. The event will take place in Lagos next month and will be chaired by the Chairman of NEM Insurance Plc, Mr. Tope Smart.

The Chief Executive Officer of Cowry Asset Management Limited, Mr. Johnson Chukwu, will be the keynote speaker at the conference, which is in its eighth edition and has been endorsed by the National Insurance Commission and the National Pension Commission. Experts from the insurance, pension, and IT sectors will share insights on boosting insurance and pension penetration at the grassroots.

Key figures such as the Director-General of PenCom, Mrs. Aisha Dahir-Umar, the Chairman Nigerian Insurers Association, Segun Omoshein, and the President of the Pension Fund Operators Association of Nigeria, Mr. Olumide Oyetan, have confirmed their attendance at the conference. The event aims to provide stakeholders with a platform to collaborate and explore innovative ways to drive growth and efficiency in the insurance and pension sectors.
